Nah b, if the NBA where a video game, Jordan would have his own level and before you reached him Kobe would be there waiting by a soda machine in a jean jacket vest.

LMAO

You stupid son of a bytch, in your haste to downplay the statement you(probably purposely) ignored that all things were otherwise equal between Kobe and Duncan. Nash has NEVER won 1 championship and Dirk has only played Kobe once in the playoffs. With Kobe and Timmy, this is a more than valid argument and is actually quite relevant. Tim Duncan could have a minimum of at least 2 more championship and Kobe is THE REASON he doesn't. You can't be better than me overall if we have the same accolades AND I consistently beat you when our teams match up.

IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Compare Shaq in his prime to Derek Anderson, Mario Elie, Avery Johnson, Jaren Jackson, Tony Parker, Bruce Bowen, and Manu Ginobli brehs. :mjlol:

The fact that the Spurs ever beat the Kobe/Shaq Lakers let alone did it twice is much more of a boon for Duncan than those same Lakers beating the Spurs is a boon for either Shaq/Kobe. It's hilarious how people constantly point to individual greatness of these two guys (rightfully so) and then blatantly ignore the fact that they played together and experienced the majority of their team success together.

So how do you explain 2008? I knew this argument would come. He dominated the Spurs in 2001 and to a lesser extent in 2004 and then DOMINATED without Shaq in 2008. In 2008, he led his team from double digits down in 2 of the 5 games.

I have no problem with those who say Duncan has had a better career than Kobe because Timmy's legendary resume speaks for itself. But I've always had a problem with Timmy aka Teflon Don not being held to the same standard as other superstars like Kobe and Bron.

First of Duncan wasn't exactly chop liver in that series he put up 22, 17, 5 and 2. Kobe like always dominated the likes of Manu Ginobli, Bruce Bowen, and Brent Barry. While Duncan got his vs. Pau and Odom and co. Secondly that is one series which flies in the face of your "only played once" and "consistently beat" premise.

Kobe = 7 finals? Check
Kobe = a 3 peat? Check
Kobe = A 2nd 3 straight trips to finals? Check
Duncan = Wouldn't have won any Finals MVP if shaq was on his team either? - Check
Kobe = More years playing at a higher level? Check
Kobe = Didn't have 6 years of Obscurity? (2008 - 2012 like Duncan) - Check

That goes both ways though. . He gets nowhere near the love these guys have gotten. People only talk about him when there is no Kobe or Bron level star to talk about. When Kobe was on top a couple years ago was anybody talking about Duncan? When Bron broke through and won a couple years ago was Duncan mentioned? No because nobody gives a fukk about Duncan unless there is nobody else left. :pachaha: Meanwhile Kobe hasn't played in how many months and yet people still talking about him. The whole summer will be devoted to Bron. People always acknowledge Duncan's greatness but they make sure they limit it to PF. He's never been in the GOAT convo like Kobe and Lebron.

Duncan is in the friendzone of sports stars. People go on and on about how he does it the right way and how more athletes should be like him and then turn around and completely ignore him for every egotistical and/or attention whoring athlete out there. :heh: nikkas in the friendzone don't get their tires slashed or their windows busted or have hoes cracking their phone codes. Conversely they don't get all the p*ssy and head either...unless the guy she really wants is out of the picture of course.

Isaiah Thomas beat Jordan more than Jordan beat him so using your logic I guess he's better.
Spurs and Lakers played it other in the playoffs(except last year) when both were ship caliber and after each team won rings. Bulls and pistons never played each other when both teams were at their best or least close to best.

Fair enough.

Well that's mainly do to TD never putting himself out there the way those two do. I don't think he has a twitter or instagram and he never, outside of 2000, was a threat to leave his team. His personality basically is the reason why

From maybe 08 til last year. Duncan was not an elite player, while Kobe and Bron was dominating the league. That's why Duncan wasnt getting mentioned
