I think the brilliance of Drake is that he has Boi-1da, who is definitely one of the best producers of the new school. So it's not like Drake has to pay Hit-Boy/Lex Luger/Bangladesh to be on radio. Drake can work with his boys in Toronto and get on radio. That shyt is nuts when you think about it.

If you're a reserved type of person, Toronto's great. You can win outchea hard if you're a square.
But if you're bold, it's real tough
in my experience, Toronto folk are just reserved. People are nice in the sense that they wont attack you, and if you ask for directions, they'll help you. But it's a very "don't approach me if I don't know who you are" type of place.
If you're an outdoorsy kind of person, Toronto's not bad either. It has nice parks. You can sit outside and read a book. Reserved people shyt. I was in New York a couple years ago at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, and cats were just blasting salsa on some random shyt in their own spot. Latino/Latinas dancing, eating food, having a good time. You just don't see that kinda shyt in Toronto.
For me, a city is about great jobs and great nightlife. Hypothetically, if I'm new to a city, and I'm outgoing, I should be able to arrive in a new city and make new friends within 1 month tops. With a nice girl, too.
The dating scene in this city is weak.

I imagine Drake was a pretty big factor in extra attention in the UK - He's a celebrity gossip generator, and if the Brits love one thing - its celebrity gossip.
As for making it a holiday destination, the Canadian dollar is weaker than the US dollar, so you get more bang for your buck (It used to be weaker - Came here in 06 and went HAM on half price trainers). Also there are a bunch of cultural similarities between the UK and Canada as well. The Queen is still on the money, Carnival is in August and they have both Eastenders and Corrie on TV, here.

What? It certainly doesn't seem that eay to me. Maybe because of the Black Americans and southern influence. Seems like there is a lot more "soul" in the Chi. But then again, Cook has one of the biggest Black American populations.
