it’s true. A shyt ton of young professionals save thousands a year not having insurance. Why pay 3-5k a year when u can go to the doctor once a year for $200. It’s simple math.
There are a lot of people doing a lot of stupid shyt and passing the costs along to other people in this country. fukk yeah, you damn right we are. Cannot wait for consecutive months of historic job losses to grace headlines on top of shocking images of body bags getting line up and thrown in trucks all up into November.
False.Never a better argument for universal healthcare than right now.
You chose the wrong economics concept here breh, it's a negative externality they are imposing on the public. They pocket savings and then when an accident happens, they can't pay it full and pass the costs along to everyone else.I mean some ppl don’t want to pay for health insurance. They’re not passing the costs to anyone else bc they don’t have costs themselves. That’s why they don’t have health insurance. It’s a sunk cost

Even bored in quarantine I'm not wasting any more time on this irrelevant side argumentstatistically they’re the least likely for that to happen to them tho. Most men don’t even break even on how much they spend on health insurance with costs they contribute to the system until they’re 45 years old.

Cheaper until something really bad happens. Then the rest of us foot his bil. There’s a percentage of this country who choose not to have insurance at all. Typically individuals making well over 55k. And that’s their choice to do so. Just like some people choose not to have cars.
that’s why when Bernie says so so millions of ppl don’t have healthcare insurance, I kind of chuckle. There’s millions in America who don’t want health insurance and/or pay a shyt ton of taxes for it. Bernie plays dumb and includes them in his numbers. My cousin being one. He did the math and paying out of pocket is cheaper for him bc he’s young and healthy.
it’s a huge risk, but it’s a risk they have the right to take.
When Stoddard finally connected with a customer service rep, she was told Bank of America was only willing to suspend her mortgage payments for three months. After three months, Stoddard says she was told she would need to pay all suspended payments at once and that reworking her loan wasn’t an option.
In effect, that means she’d owe the three months of deferred mortgage payments plus that month’s mortgage payment, about $8,800 as early as June — far more than she was expecting or able to pay.
