Bieber, Timberlake, Eminem, Diplo at the end of the day they just culture vultures like the OG culture vulture ELVIS.

Diplo became a millionaire from co-opting (swagger jacking...or stealing) the musics of third world countries (3ball, baile funk, kuduro, dancehall, etc) and the music of the HOOD (b-more club, philly club, juke, jit,) and sanitized it for predominantly white audiences/consumers. I like (or used to really) his stuff...but it was really just poor imitations of the originals. I mean, he got on by riding the coattails of a Sri Lankan girl (M.I.A.) and acted like he helped artists like her and othersout...but how many of the artists that he put on Mad Decent from 2007-2013 do people remember now? How many of them have actually made significant money from their own creations? How many of them actually play shows on the level of a Diplo, Dillon Francis, or Skrillex?

And yes..the US EDM scene is bullshyt. People wanna act like that isn't steeped in some sort of racism. Go to any festival here...the majority of the audience is WHITE. The majority of the artists are WHITE. Even the producers/DJs from the African American community who CREATED and INNOVATED house and techno get paid LESS at festivals than newer white artists. There are tons of new black producers and DJs making music...why do they NEVER appear at any of these festivals?

I ran a blog because as an avid electronic DJ and producer...I figured the internet and the movement of bloggers around the globe could change things...but no. It's just a disgusting mess.

I kind of felt discouraged for a while as a DJ cause I was getting gigs...but not as frequently as white DJs and producers.

I've said it before...I'll say it again. White people love black music...just without black people.
