Dungeon Meshi Episode 18

Got to say the story telling and attention to detail in this series is top-notch, very, very impressive. It's easy Frieren quality.

So the gang is back at the level where they first fought the Red Dragon. And well the sixth floor that is supposed to be humid is now cold and snowy. That can set off alarms. Falin looking for Delgal the last King that Laios saw in the painting, and it's clear that the Red Dragon was ordered to find even before the gang defeated it. But the fact that the painting episode is so crucial to where we are not is outstanding.

This episode introduced us to shape-shifters, and they basically create a copy of said person and replace them. The interesting thing is it requires reading the mind of someone other than that said person. Honestly a pretty sizable liability, but there were a few good duplicates. Laios stepping up was both awesome and hilarious to see at the same time. Interesting that the wolf like monster was responsible for creating these shape-shifters. Though Laios got a little too into role-playing here. Thankfully Marcille defeated it before Laios did something stupid.

Really fun section of the episode all things considered. Though we finally see how was tailing them since the start of the episode. Curious how next episode goes.

Windbreaker Episode 5 did a great job showcasing Suou's fighting style and his character. In terms of fighting style he is terrifying as if he knows if you are weak he will humiliate you as he didn't take his opponent seriously even for a second. But he did so in such a defensive style that is very much a representation of Bofurin and their beliefs.

But in contrast to that you can tell that he is a big empathetic person. Seeing that his opponent and his gang lacked that probably pissed he off inside.

Man I just finished the first ep of that off the strength of on Twitter I saw a tweet with someone same Kaijuu 8 is better than JJK specifically naming that most recent arc.

I was gonna post in here but decided not to start that shyt storm or hurt feelings.

But the first ep was surprisingly good, gonna continue to watch

It’s nice to have a delinquents anime where the lead takes care of business. Like Sakura ain’t some insane Mc. But he’s super solid and I liked how they set his character arc in episode 1.

This and Ranger are THE action shows for this season.

TenSura S3 Ep 5

One thing I really, really like so far from this season how well they have done Hinata's perspective. Coming in the concern was would she be willing to reason with Rimuru. It's very clear she is willing too, and she is not stupid and can see what is happening. Tbh you get the sense that there is more substance in her relationship with Luminous then any of the knights. Granted half of them are deeply loyal while the other half varies.

The one concerning thing is that King Edward is drafting citizens. Curious who is he working with behind the scenes. I am interested to understand the Seven Luminaries and their relationship with Luminous. As Hinata points out their obvious plan to want her to fight Rimuru and Veldora couldn't be more obvious. But we know that Luminous advised her not to fight Veldora. The mention of Guy and Milim do serve as a baseline of people who Rimuru is under in terms of strength. Though it was mentioned in conversation Guy and Leon had last season.

No surprise the message was altered, but even more so Reyhiem is dead. Diablo said it's a miscalculation on his part, but tbh it feels like something that was destined to happen regardless. The sword that Hinata received feels very suspicious to consider Luminous's warning of Veldora. Curious what the Seven Luminaries goal in all this is? Also, could they be working with Edward and potentially Yuki?

Looks we will be jumping to some action next episode surrounding Hinata.

Girls Cry Band Episode 5

Nina facing so much trouble selling tickets that she gave some away for free. But Momo and Subaru offering some life lessons. Momo saying how we feel partial once we made an investment in it, but if there is no investment there is no incentive to see it through. Subaru giving Nina the reality of the business.

So the first big reveal was that Nina's former friend is now the singer for Diamond Dust. U wonder if this is separate to the girl who bullied her or are they one and the same? Though with Nina I do wonder if it is a situation where she overreacted. I've to say despite all this I have to love how we see Subaru and Nina getting closer and closer. Then being essentially like kids to Momo is kind of real.

Momo and Nina argument was sad. Because you understand both sides so well. Nina idolizes DD and to put it frank now the girl she doesn't like is now their leader. Momo was right about her being a toxic fan. I didn't expect Nina to go at Momo's heart to learn if she as well didn't like DD changing. The big heartbreaking reveal is that DD's goal was only to stay together. The twist that Momo is the bad guy here is well done.

At the end of the day Momo has made her bed, but her apologizing to Nina while drunk was well done. She needed that talk to open and that is usually the first tough step. Still interested in learning Nina's actual trauma and more what happened back then.
