Tyler's manager was emenims old manager and frank ocean was packaged with odd future.

Sounds like a plant to me :mjpls:

Clancy worked for shady/afthermath, he was never Em's manager, he became Tyler's manager after they had already performed on Jimmy Fallon & Tyler was dropping his second album, basically they had already blown up

Nah. OddFuture was the real deal. O. F. was more universal than just Tha Trap. And that was part of their point as Artists

I'd say Troy Average is one in current motion. Saigon, even though he's very talented. Red Cafe. Asher Roth, Mac Miller, Macklemore, Mark Ronson, David Guetta, Slim Thug, Zro, and alot of others

Please explain to me Z-Ro as an industry plant :mjlol:

although I do agree Slim Thug got a huuuuuuge push, songs with Gwen Stefani, Beyonce, signing with Pharrell...but it didn't work out since he alienated his main fanbase

I'm not saying dude doesn't have fans but ain't nobody playin no muthafukkin Zro. Dude is an acquired taste whose name gets thrown around by bloggers to make themselves sound legit.

Like somebody sing a Zro song that came out in the past 8 years that everybody knows that's official that actually touched alot of people.

He has a core fanbase but he gets unjustly props by bloggers and industry cats alike. All hype and no burn

in Texas he's the shyt :manny: everyone listens to him down hear, everyone knows Mo City Don Freestyle word for word, he does good numbers for shows, he's got a pretty big following, and his shyt is really dope. I can see why people give him props, he's underrated as fukk.

Thugga wasn't a plant....The label heads just wanted to capitalize off is huge fan base in the South...That's all

That nikka wasn't lying when he said he was already platinum......His debut major album was solid too

The problem you're addressing is what happens to all coli words i.e [PAWG, c00n]. Muhfukkas use it, run it to the ground and nikkas forget the original meaning. Originally an industry plant started as a rapper who was already signed to a major but was being promoted as independent [synonym to astroturfing]. Normally you catch them when they slip up in interviews and have contradictory dates when they signed.

Chance is clearly a plant, who givesa fukk if he has fans, he gets no mainstream spins, so unless he's supposed to be a currensy, Dom Kennedy, big Krit type popular, his planthood has not worked

ASAP Rocky is a plant too...dude had major singles, Rihanna in videos, huge features, they wanted him to be in the bracket with drake, Wayne, etc, but he's not. No one is missing him right now, he's only as relevant as his current hit. People ask about drake or Kendrick when they're quiet musically, people forgot rocky exists
