Just because a dude accepts larger women doesn't mean he has low standards. For some men their standards align with their values. Qualities that have more to do with character than appearance. If someones solution to being told they should prioritize their health leads to them destroying it further, then they shouldn't be here in the first place.

back in grad school i was a part-time m.s. student (coursework)
but i watched some friends thesis/dissertation defenses
moterhcukers would walk in like
walk out like

i mean, it's a hazing of sorts,
a legitimate "peer" review process

so . what would happen if everyone had a quarterly or annual pull up??
if 3 mentor-types sat you down and reviewed your life, your progress, your output
and put your feet to the fire on some real shyt

i mean, sometimes i feel like getting up in obese people's faces
like diabetes, more illness, more metabolic damage, shorter lifespan etc
i realize they "know" that
but it's like scared-straight
you gotta snap them to reality

if i could trust the motives and wisdom of 3 mentors
i'd subject myself to that process
..but that's the catch- truting 3 people like that
to really get up in your business and tell you waht's what

that's why my wife (rip) was so important- a real persn i could trust
though even her input was slanted towards her own investment in our marriage
probably impossible to find qualified yet neutral people for a real sit down
but it's an idea

Ok - I need to check that thread out. I think she very pretty - and I don't like fat shaming. It can lead to eating disorders and bad self-image.

When overweight ppl are told to embrace it & everything's "ok", it often does them more harm than good in the long run. I've seen it happen too much. Heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, knee replacement surgeries, etc. Not everyone has to be a size 3 but at the same time, this generation of "i'm happy to be fat" is not good.
