of that group, Ed reed

But my favorite was Sean Taylor

Of course guys who played longer like Lott, TroyP & Ed had better better numbers based on longevity but ST's size and speed was a sight to see, and he had the reputation as a hard hitter but his last season he was becoming more of a ball hawk. Look at his game against Favre in GB where he had two picks.

Ed Reed but people are forgetting how dominant how Troy P was.

I never saw a safety time blitzes better than Troy P.

Dude was all over the field and running into WRs TE RB OL. Didn't have the cover skills of Ed Reed but had amazing hands.

His prime was short cuz he played wreckless but man he was something else

I wish more ppl got to see prime B. Dawk...he revolutionized the S position :wow:

He was interchangeable as a FS and SS

He could cover the slot, deep middle, play man against TEs

He was a 4th LB in the box...and he could rush the passer (RIP Jim Johnson)

He was a feared hitter

He's arguably the most versatile S in the history of the game

You're talking about a S who impacted the pass rush, run def & coverage...and was a plus in every area

Taylor was a beast, but to insinuate those 3 only had better numbers because they played longer is wild. Those guys were All-Pros by Year 2.
