Women have a bigger pool to choose from

I think it has to do with men wanting numbers because it's perceived as a masculine trait.

Women want the intensity in sex. Men want that too, but they'll be happy if they just have any kind of sex. Part of that has to do with men's ability to orgasm from even bad sex. Women orgasm when all these factors come together.

If people were given the choice to choose to 1) have mind blowing sex twice and no more sex for ten years or 2) have bad to mediocre sex every day for ten years with people who are attractive but you hate, most women would choose #1 and most men would probably choose #2
