The object of the game is to score. There is a reason ppg is listed first in player statlines. People praise assists cause they lead to scores. Im not saying averaging more ppg means he is better either, im moreso talking about their roles on the team. Mitchell a true rookie putting in work in the clutch on a team with a lack of offense and shooting. You can throw the ball to mitchell the last 3 minutes of a game and let him win you games. This will become more apparent come playoff time

Actually it's not. Mitchell is good but part of the problem is he shoots too much. He has some ugly games under his belt. But hes a rookie so that's expected, but it doesn't make him better than Simmons.

Its atleast a discussion when you consider ben simmons isnt a rookie. Ben has had an extra year of film and training with nba personnel. Makes a huge difference.

It's only a discussion because people don't wanna like Simmons, so you pick the closest guy to him and grade him on a curve. You don't believe me, go look at the Brandon Ingram vs. Ben Simmons debates before they got drafted.

Utah has one of the best 3pt shooters in the league and a one of the best rim divers too. Mitchell has to create but let's not pretend he's in a Wade 2010 situation.
