Why isn't Donovan Mitchell the Rookie of the Year over Ben Simmons?

Contrary to popular opinion, so is Ben Simmons.

That's fair. To be honest, Simmons stats are an insanely impressive thing and SImmons probably deserves the award. But Mitchell becoming the offensive leader for a team in the west that lost their only all-star this past season and helping them be in the thick of the western conference playoff seeding is a big accomplishment. And that's why Mitchell gets noticed but yeah, Simmons stats probably are the more deserving argument for ROTY

I saw jazz fans on reddit saying it was gonna be an easy game and I disagreed. With the west this tight, no game is given. And yeah, the Jazz keep losing to the Hawks. I don't get it either.
