People who work in these oil jobs usually live at site or in those Fort McMurray type places. If they come back to Calgary they're only there a few days so meeting them can be hard, much less dating someone on that type of shift work. There are quite a few Africans (mostly Nigerians) in Calgary in engineering positions. Let's just say that I'd prefer not to date any recent African immigrants again. No offense to anyone. Canadian black guys here are into white women for the most part.

If I left my job I wouldn't go to a new place like Montreal- I'd go back to TO where I have family, friends and support so at least my pay cut would be compensated in some way.

1. Black women only get those stats thrown in their face when they act like they can get men of other races while openly bashing black men. Of course not all black women do this but those who are "depressed" are the ones who act like they're entitled to whomever they want, race notwithstanding.

2. You touched on this but I'll expound on it. At the end of the day, men pursue and women choose. And women (esp. black women) freely choose to do all types of stupid things in hopes of catching the "best" man possible. And they try to justify those actions (albeit, nonsensibly).

If a woman wanted a decent, sensible, stable (maybe even upwardly mobile) guy, she could meet and keep one without resorting shenanigans. It's only when women get inside their own heads, demand better, and act like their sh*t don't stink that they become disappointed and depressed. Women in general MUST be held accountable for their dating prospects (or lack thereof).

I'll definitely agree that there's too much black infighting and hypocrisies which just make everything worse. It's a scary cycle.

As for her personally wanting a non-black man (assuming that's the case) then getting shut down by them, I'm 50/50 on how I feel on that. I can't stand the "I like everything but blacks" mentality most non-blacks share and this situation just proves that further, but she should have also seen that coming if she shut down black men.
