WWE surely has wanted Rock vs Roman or Cody from day one. The Netflix episode was the perfect opportunity to start the build to one of those matches with all the viewership and they actively killed any tension between Rock and them.

So, either numbers are bad and TKO is pushing Rock to bring them up, Rock suddenly got availability to do a match, or this is just a one off appearance. I think the one off is a good possibility.

The rumor is WrestleMania 42 will be in New Orleans, so if Rock is just there to announce it, it is what it is. Seems like Cody/Cena and Punk/Rollins/Reigns are still on the table, but if Rock does go back into Final Boss mode and strong-arms his way into a big Mania match, I won't complain.

I think it would have been smarter to just have Rock in the ring, acknowledge Cody for a few seconds, and do the rest of his promo. He didn't need to acknowledge their storyline that much, and he absolutely didn't need to give Roman the ula fala. At least leave the door open for something to happen in the future, no matter what your schedule is.

I would love if Cody came out to the ring did his whole sing along thing and right when he's about to start talking, Final Boss music hits, Rock walks to the ring, announces WM 42 at New Orleans and then walks out like Cody isn't even there

And as Rock music hits and he's walking away

Cody is like "Hold the up... who the hell do to think you are" or something to that effect demanding that The Rock respect him as champion and face of this company.

Then Rock just laughs at him and beats his ass again at the end of the show just like last year lol

If I was talking about you I would’ve said it. I’m speaking in general. Get out your feelings
You made this statement quoting a post directed at me it’s only common sense it sounds like it’s directed towards me

:dahell:

If it was in general you could have made your statement by itself instead of indirect to me

People think they got it figured out by that Netflix show..we'll see if they double down in a few hours. I'm intrigued.
