08-10 Lakers or 11-13 Heat?

The Thunder beat that Magic team with ease, they didn't hold LeBron back, he averaged 38.5ppg, 8rpg, 8apg on 49% shooting, the Cavs just couldn't defend them. Durant would murder them, and Westbrook especially would be a huge matchup issue, that Magic team had Rafer Alston starting for most of their playoff run, and even a healthy Jameer can't match up with
The Thunder put Perkins on Howard, don't send a double and cover shooters, pretty much a wrap.
Breh, Perkins was on the 09 Celtics team....you know the team Orlando beat, along with Cleveland to get to the 2009 Finals. They went through the Boston and LeBron. If I remember correctly, Orlando was ranked 5th defensively that year. If Boston couldn't stop Howard, what makes you think OKC could. And remember breh, Garnet was injured that year so it was just Kendrick guarding Howard and he couldn't stop him. Dwight would overpower his ass the same in OKC. Magic is too long and fast for OKC. Hedo and Rashard are both 6"10 and could take you off the dribble or murder you from the three. James Harden like 6"5, who's he guarding? Thabo like 6"6, who's he guarding? Durant could guard one of them but itll be a mistmatch for the other. Westbrook would get his against Alston though. IMO, I could see them winning.

Is everybody healthy? I just don't see how the Heat compete with LA's size either way, especially with a healthy Bynum. You would basically have Indy from this year with Kobe in place of George and then you add Odom, Ariza/Artest.You put a healthy D. Wade out there and the Heat would be able to make it interesting but I gotta go with the Lakers.
Same comparison I thought of. Heat would get killed on the boards just like against Indy and Pau/Bynum would just absolutely abuse them in the post. Can't really double either of them considering the Lakers had capable shooters and Kobe on the wing, like the Heat did against Hibbert later on in the series, and if you do Pau can actually hit the open man from the post unlike Hibbert. Your right though, that if we assume D.Wade is fully healthy the series become interesting, but if we do that we have to assume Bynum is fully healthy too for the sake of fairness, and if he is I wouldn't see the series going longer than 6 in the lakers favor.
Uh, that series went 7 games, and the Celtics were without KG. In that series, Dwight averaged 16/17, he wasn't scoring at will like he was against the Cavs despite the man to man coverage, so Perkins did his job.
Fam, are you really trying to overrate that Magic team, I mean seriously. The 2011-2012 Thunder would smash that team without much trouble, they can matchup extremely well an would have the 1st, 2nd, and 4th best players on the floor.

That's my point man. Saying KG was injured further proves what I'm saying. In that series, Big Baby & Perkins had to step up to defend Howard cuz their main guy was out. Well, that's would it would be like in OKC. Dwight went off for 23pts, 22rebs one game and 23pts, 17rebs on another. He didn't stop shyt man lol... I think you're underating that Magic team.
He also had 3 different games in that series where he scored 12pts, you think that would cut it against the Thunder. I never said Perkins stopped him either, I said you could defend him man to man and Dwight isn't going to kill him. That Magic team relied on someone doubling down on Dwight, the Celtics didn't have to do that, which is why that series went 7 games. The Celtics didn't have enough offense, whereas the Thunder have more than enough. Also, Westbrook would go completely off against that team, they had absolutely nobody on that roster to even think about defending him.
The Spurs last year were a better team than that Magic squad, and the Thunder rolled them. I can't believe you're really trying to prop up that Magic squad as being equal to or better than the Thunder, a team that has 2 players better than Dwight.

And pointing out that Dallas barely beat the Heat but swept the Lakers that same year is idiotic. That Lakers team that got swept by Dallas was spent. They were coming off three straight trips to the finals and in addition to the three best players on the team playing international ball during the off season.

Nobody is saying they were bad, but they weren't better than last years Thunder, in a series the Thunder win that in 5 or 6.
No answer for Westbrook, Harden or Durant.

A heat team with a fully healthy wade?...the heat would run circles around that laker defense. kobe could never hang with a 100% d wade...ever. "b b but he's so good off them screens"....and the heat have lebron james. Better than anybody on that laker team by a good margin. and as we all know, lebron made it a tradition since his cleveland days to routinely shyt on kobe and the lakers with relative ease. Give a fukk about size, the heats quickness and athleticism would be too much for that laker team. So yea...heat in 5. The series would have so much hype surrounding it only to end in lopsided fashion.

Depends on turnovers. Those Laker teams slowed it down and went to the bigs early and often.
Plus Wade isn't guarding Kobe totally either. I've seen Bean post him up and just get whatever he wanted one on one. It's not as lopsided as you make it seem.
