Nope. Anything short of an in person CM Punk appearance, (even if he just come on the stage and show ends right away) is a disappointment. Everyone in the company been alluding to it, and even had Darby drop a promo on him, and they been reshowing that promo every week. It would be false advertising type shyt at this point.

I think AEW has handled this as perfect as can be. I personally think they originally leaked out the CM Punk news in the beginning.
Them not coming out and saying it will make that pop better and make the moment just more organic. WWE would have tweeted this shyt out on a Thursday killing the surprise and taking the steam out of it. You only get one chance at this. Let it build up.

While this is true (and I’m a big Bryan stan) We’re in Chicago and all of those references to punk... anything less and it’ll be disappointing honestly
