Regular guy logic. Cats haven't put in the time or effort necessary to succeed at anything in life then want to come online and offer "advice."

Funny thing is these guys are dead on with pretty much everything they talk about. Money, relationships, lifestyle, health, "game" and so on.

Again, zero competition out there for those that listen.

I can tell you have a foolish man's thought process.

Before you can think about cashing in on success you must put your self in the position to cash in at all.

That means........................

Getting a good solid education in either Business, a STEM major or entrepreneurship through different avenues.

Developing and diversifying your skillset

Diversifying your monetary portfolio

and SAVING

You are to busy looking at the bridge 1000 miles away and not taking the little steps it takes to reach that bridge

This is a dumb question that I"m almost ashamed to ask but, bear with me.

Let's say your portfolio has $1 million by age 60 or whatever. Does that account for inflation? Because 40 years from now, that $1 million isn't really $1 million anymore in terms of purchasing power. Retirement sites always say $1 million = $50,000 or $40,000 a year in interest but, are they accounting for inflation in the future? Because $50,000 won't be worth shyt.

You've said nothing counter to what I've said in the past, nor what is stated on the website.

Unsure what point you're trying to make (I doubt you have one).

Exactly. That's another reason why having "$1 Million" by 60 is a scam.

A lot of which is dead wrong.

Exactly. Having 500K or even a couple million for "retirement" at 60 isn't an accomplishment. You have a million at 60, now guess what, you're 60 and life is effectively over for you.

It's definitely for top-tier cities (who would want to live anywhere else?), it's definitely for top-tier people (doesn't necessarily mean the most educated). You're right, it isn't for the "average" guy or "regular" people. Nothing about success is aimed toward those folks though. You sound like a real "average" guy, giving advice based on your zero success at life.

Quote:
This is not a place for mediocre people who are driven by emotion, people who need hand holding or people that need “motivation” to get started.

To reiterate. This blog is *not* for regular people. We want to help those that are *willing to help themselves*. These people will win. We believe everyone deserves access to the tools for success. What you do with those tools is entirely up to you.

Not sure if you've explored a lot of the site but here are a few more essentials:

10 Ways to Become Exceptional… Starting Now.

Motivation is for the Weak
Financial Disasters in 10 Simple Equations

That's a really cruel assumption to make about me just from my comments. You're out of touch.

Thread really exposes people.

I was just thinking about all of this today while trying to map out my schedule for the week and sort through all of my goals.

No one takes responsibility for just being "average" or "mediocre." No one takes responsibility for not putting in the time and effort necessary to succeed.

So most "average" and "regular" guys see someone living a certain lifestyle and immediately look for ways to:

1.) Denigrate the individual and their lifestyle in order to;
2.) Assuage their feelings of insecurity.

Everyone wants to be valued and respected without putting the necessary work in.

Most guys see this and envy but you'll never hear them cop to it. Instead you'll get a bunch of comments about dude being superficial, or full of himself. Or about his privilege and this and that. No one thinks about how they can maximize themselves and achieve similar or better results. Not only do they discount themselves, but they make a point of passing along false and hopeless advice to others, which is the worst part.

I used to fall for this hard when I was younger, I used to even participate at times; but I always knew I wanted something more and I'm working toward that.

What do you do breh?

Network Engineer. Getting my CCIE in order to work for a top firm (use as leverage for business school).

also...

School, Computer Science and Economics. Plan is leverage engineering experience, high GPA, and hopefully high GMAT to get into a quant heavy, minority friendly business school like Wharton or Sloan and eventually end up in a similar position as...

WSP played a huge part in improving my mindset and results. I always had it, just didn't have the information to channel it. Been amazing.

You are telling people who don't have a robust education and skillset a pile of dreams

Said like it's a bad thing.

Amazing how when I get around other people who are driven, we vibe right away though.

Thank you for the compliment!

You can be driven without being snobby.

I'm driven as well, but I'm just not foolish enough to believe everyone is dealt with the same cards.

I didn't even dismiss the article

I'm just injecting some realism and context.
