danny manning had a pretty long career, but was derailed by injuries. I believe he even made a couple all star games, so he wasn't a bust by any means.

That's not the argument you wanna use. Busts happen everywhere. Only 4 #1's won a ring with the team that drafted them and they needed another #1 pick to do it

Nah. The Celtics are already one of the best teams in the NBA. They lack a true number two and rebounding. PG is that number two.
