Not all but I'd bet that there are more unemployed black doctors than white tho(proportions have to be taken into account)

Marriage isn't for everyone. Proof in the 50% divorce rate. Black marriage(hell, any marriage or cohabitation) doesn't breed a successful life. When divorce happens, you have to relinquish half of your assets. I'll let you elaborate though.

too many single people in the african american community.... married or living together means more household income....

I'm not saying those issues don't/didn't harm us.... but.... the title of the thread is : 1 Reason I Think why Black People are Poorer

.......even if policing for profit + red lining + predatory lending didn't exist..... we would still be poorer due to us not marrying/staying together.... 2 incomes > 1 income...

I think we focus on the negitives too much.

Try daily positive affirmations. although black people are deeply religious as a whole, we tend to be very negative. Thoughts become things so focus on abundance . write things down.
