Cm Punk vs. Drew HIAC is Austin vs. Bret WM13 Tier of quality matches.


Top 20 All Time WWE match, and I don't say that lightly.

I would be splitting hairs on which one I think is objectively better, but I lean Austin vs. Bret since it heavily influenced this match.

This is the modern Bret vs. Austin for a new generation.

If their goal before doing this match was to be Austin vs. Bret. They succeeded and overachieved it.

Completely cement Drew as a top attraction.

Well they did a call back with that sharpshooter spot so I'd say they likely did have that match in mind.
