To be frank, once Cody beat Seth in HIAC with half a chest, in kayfabe there is NO circumstance where Seth should ever beat Cody in a match barring outlandish levels of assistance. And even then... Seth really shouldn't want the win that way.

In other news, it's admittedly a nice touch for Roman to be adamant to try and do things on his own considering how much of his historic reign involved outside help.

I guess the difference for me is that they are making it the krux of the whole narrative as opposed to Roman and Seth where they just focus on the betrayal.
