I guess the difference for me is that they are making it the krux of the whole narrative as opposed to Roman and Seth where they just focus on the betrayal.

That's fair. I don't like the fact that Roman never beats Seth, but as you likely know, the way they try to paint it is that because of the betrayal Roman cannot think straight and be his dominant/collected self against Seth.

It should be the other way around -- Roman should be more locked in and focused to put Seth down because of being heauxed by him all those years ago -- but I can at least see what they're going for there.

With Cody and Seth... that shyt is what happens when you do things with no actual plan or reasoning. What they should have done is have Seth win at that Backlash or say fukk the plan and have Seth win HIAC. That just goes back to some of the issues with WWE programming. I get that the plan is the plan, but sometimes the plan is shyt/illogical or needs a pivot.

Now that i think about it, having a championship that can only be acknowledged in the country i win it in and i can't wear it anywhere. It seems like you can't even rock the ring seems pointless. Just give them trophies

True, but the character development that Seth is going through atm (defeatist attitude) has been the most intriguing he's been since forming the Vision.
