Is Kinesio tape a somewhat new invention? I swear every time I watch WWE or AEW, I see at least one wrestler wearing it.

Exactly, things like that have long been my issue with WWE, I remember when Tanahashi was facing Okada and dropped the air guitar stuff in his entrance and was deadly serious due to the rivalry but WWE rarely adds little wrinkles like that.

First wrestler I can recall wearing it was Cesaro/Claudio and then everyone starting wearing it. This was about 5-6 years back.
