Yup. Even the OG on the run nikkas are finding out the hard way as they are all getting booked 20-30 years later. And these dudes had their new lives set up thoroughly married and settled all the way with grandkids and shyt. They make one wrong move....one wrong traffic stop and all of a sudden it's all over. Everything they built is destroyed and they gotta go do life in they sixties.
The only way is to leave the country. But if you ain't a bilingual there ain't alot of options....most of these english speaking countries are heavily tied down to the states...even the caribbean.
So really gonna need a perfect storm. Derrick had some of that luck but he needed to keep going....not just settle in some shack.
Nonextradition is a political choice for the accepting nation, not a right to the fugitives. there has to be something benefiting the country. But this guy is trash with no benefit to any country he goes to.
If he were a scammer, he could have at least offered a few hundred thousand or a million to the corrupt local government. A freedom fighter like Shakur helps advance local propaganda. And spies are always welcome to encourage the recruitment of future American spies. If he had local ties, it could make the govt appear to be protecting its people. This escapee was none of those things.
No matter where he goes, he will immediately stick out for being a foreigner and The local criminal goons and local government intelligence will instantly know who he is. They might be the ones cashing in on his bounty If they aren't benefiting politically from his existence.

interesting America is the prison capital of the world
no country openly incarcerates more individuals than America it's Baked in our capitalist culture. Especially incarcerating blk folks/ 
now you would think especially w/ the number of innocent individuals that serve their time and get out! Not even counting the truly guilty individuals/ 
they had nothing to do all that time but get smart earn a free degree lift weights and contemplate the "get back" why haven't a group of them ever gotten together and pulled off a hack to electronically open all the cells and free everybody? Or hack the system and f*ck up the release dates of all their fellow comrades? Like let the all be free the same day and delete all the prison sentences? This just off the top

unfortunately most guilty prisoners are in prison because they're stupid or mentally ill. Otherwise they wouldn't be in prison. The Andy dufresne type of prisoners are an outlier .
Because our American society defunded most of the mental institutions and significantly cut federal funding for schools since the 80s, The prison system serves as the overflow space for people who would otherwise be in these other institutions.
You have to have a bare minimum of intelligence and sanity in order to wake up one day with The aim of becoming smarter. The general intelligence of a prisoner will determine whether they see All that spare time in prison as a second playground from childhood or a second shot at redoing highschool or even college.
