his music sucks though. cant deny it. Em taught me how to rap but his music itself is garbage and hard to take serious at times.

It's not even really about them being enjoyed by the masses or not living up to the hype. Because many factors play into why a lot these guys never got a fair shot from the start. Especially with the way the current music industry is. They simply did not know what to do with a lot of these guys. These labels didn't/don't know how to market them in this new era. Resulting in them falling by the way side so to speak. They never really got a chance to prove themselves.
Canibus had "it". he had legit hype. Something just went really wrong.I only agree with Juelz & Charles & Peedi. Rest never had 'it'(canibus, nipsey, saigon) or just weren't that good of artists to begin with(asher roth, saigon, slim thug, cassidy)
but you know Em taught every rapper under 30 a little bit and he gets props for that from major artists and independents to local cats.the good part is that Fashawn is recording another album with exile.
But I think it too late unless his next album "Ecology" is going to be some Section.80 type of shyt. Fashawn buzz was up in running in 2010 ish too since he was working with J.Cole who was blowing up like crazy back then. I actually think Fashawn is better than J.Cole so its on Fash being lazy or just being happy with tour money too much is why he didn't blow up by now

"On The Freeway" shatters any song Drake will ever sing

.....the piano is too damn under utilized in hiphop,I guess instruments in general nowadays
