10. Competition is better exposed

9. To shock us, they kill us [Swerve for the sake of it]

8. b*stard fans [obnoxious live crowds]

7. The NXT expectation

6. WWE borrowing gimmicks [examples: The Club, Strong Style, hinting of Broken Matt]

5. Where's the protection?

4. All the moves in 205 live [since its workrate first and character 2nd and being put in front of casual crowds]

3. Social media [pretty much being themselves as opposed to being in character]

2. No time for matches to cool [Okada/Omega 3 great matches in 8 months compared to Usos/New Day doing the same in 3 months]

1. Injuries [because of so much wrestling on tv more than ever the in ring style has become more intense]

I grew up watching WWF. On the weekends they had an hour show with Stars fighting scrubs. So you watched a dude beat a nobody and get into beef with another dude who fight nobodies and when they fought it was like an event.
Saturday night main event was worth watching because stars fight each other. Ppv's were because stars fight each other.

Then they got rid of the scrubs and just had starts all facing each other. So the Rock and Austin fought Monday night raw and then they have a ppv where they fight again imo was stupid. Just my opinion.

WCW kinda started this in the mid 90s. They became "where the big boys play" and they quit having squash matches, even tho the guys were still jobbers. It was to make the competition look more legitimate

However to ur point, Stone Cold and Rock didn't fight every week on Raw. Matter of fact, they rarely ever fought...but I get what ur trying to convey bc now guys will fight for 2-3 months every week on Raw/SD, every ppv.

What about the TV network over exposing wrestling by forcing WWE by making Raw go to 3 hours and continue on to do so, even when the ratings have dropped and more so with the third hour. Because they're unable to come up with original content that lasts no more for a couple of seasons till it get dropped because of failing ratings. And the WWE cannot do a single thing about it.

Zayn owens fought how many times....not even a match i can recall as memorable

Recently hardyz vs cesaro sheamus every week and nothing to talk about

Just the same matches weekly on the main show and ppvs...sometimes the ppvs are like watching raw or smackdown. To make it worse the sets of the events are all the same

Horrible

I feel that wrestling in general is ruining itself. As much as Corny, Ole, and all of the bitter promoters from the past get shytted on, they were right. Once the business got exposed, the whole excitement aspect of it diminished. Even NJPW seems bland once you realize they have the same booking techniques as the WWE, but more forgiven with the time off due to it's workrate. Bottom line, wrestling is in a sad state of affairs due to the woes of the past.

  • The lack of kayfabe
  • Oversaturation
  • Heavy roster without no payoff
  • Either too tone deaf to the fans or cater too much to the fans
  • Lack of creativity
At least Lucha Underground got the idea right concerning how wrestling should be booked in 2017. Wrestling should be entertaining and not a "sport":mindblown:. At least WCW kept it real with the shyt being fake but making it legit at the same time. I cringed like a lunatic when I see wrestling articles on Yahoo and ESPN, THE shyt IS FAKE!!:mindblown::mindblown:. Why in the hell I got to see a spot fest in the top 10 clips on ESPN next to a top goal in Futbol:rudy:?

All of this is from WWE killing the competition to the point that they can't even steal from other companies anymore.

We give all of our criticism to WWE in the fall but the second Rumble and Mania season comes all is forgiven, then the cycle continues. Not specifically TSC but other wrestling forums.

That's just USA making WWE make up for those 5 years they decided to runaway.

WWE did not kill WCW and ECW breh

Spike/TNN dropped ECW, which started their downward spiral to bankruptcy.

They bought WCW and killed it by not bringing in real stars and not enticing any of their fans to keep watching. And that's just two companies, even if you don't count them, they did kill every single other territory in the states.

Time Warner/AOl merger killed WCW by cancelling the show and WWE was unable to make another show after buying it.

ECW wasn't profitable thus it getting dropped
