I swear, years that end in 6 seem to be transition years.

'96 The "golden era" came to an end

Then '00-'05 still had a lil 90's residue on it.

'06, shyt started slowly, gradually transitioning into the shyt that it became now....The lil bit of soul that was hanging on '00-'05, started slipping and fell off the cliff like Bucky Barnes:francis:

Been snowballing ever since.

And now look at '16 and all the legends/icons we're losing.More transitioning/rebirthing.....I'm weary of the 6

Illuminati Drizzy tried to tell us :heh:

there were around 20 albums that were worth the price of retail.
I cant say this for any years since then.

not to mention the mixtapes by mainstream artists.

in no order - all these albums were nice. the first few joints up top were great:
Camron - killa season
the clipse - hell hath no fury
TI - king
young dro - best thang smokin
Ludacris - release therapy
game - doctors advocate
snoop - blue carpet treatment
lupe fiasco - food & liquor
dj clue - professional 3
styles p - time is money
rick ross - port of miami
busta rhymes - big bang theory
juvenile - reality check
BG - heart of the streetz Vol 2
birdman & wayne - like father, like son
jr writer - history in the making
jim jones - hustlers pome
a few others

and the mixtape game was better, of course.

:thespirit: I still remember my first time listening to the Dro CD. shyt melted my mind breh.

That Game album was on repeat forever. It also let me know that Dre wasnt needed for Aftermath to have success

This song was everywhere on a mainstream level though

it was a good song.

they had a string of nice singles.

but even if someone thinks its trash, it doesn't matter. they were just radio rappers. nobody had their album.
