I loved this album, words can't describe the anger I feel whenever I hear Pyrex vision being only like 54 seconds! Like nikka write a longer verse cause that beat was beautiful. 10 bricks is just audio crack on all levels.

That walk with me song was really good too. That and that never used to matter with bun b should have made the album. Rock stars and smoking barrels too, deck killed it. He left some great songs off it. Those could have replaced a few but that album is really good. That follow-up album was nice on the low too back in 2011. Rae was focused back then.

This dropped around the time Blueprint 3 did. I copped them both the same day and listened to them back to back,first BP3 then Cuban Linx 2. Cuban Linx 2 shyt all over BP3!!!!!

BP3 is low-key borderline

I do not like that album except a couple joints.

Really powerful album. The fact it lived up to its expectations is remarkable and really added to Raes & RZA's legendary status. Also, Rae ultimately released this independently and it sold extremely well for the time. Off sales alone, believe he made out really well off the album financially. The original cover that's included in the opening post is one of the GOAT. So much could be said about this album.

That said, I feel it's a 4.5/5 rather than a 5/5.

Solid, classic rap album.

If Redman follows up with Muddy Waters 2 - with production done all by Eric Serman and Redman he has the potential to do the same.

I believe why Obfcl2 was because it was branded the same as Obfcl but updated.

As a rap fan if there's a classic, you don't make much changes to the formula. Then it works. And Obfcl2 sold very, very well!

Someone on YouTube made the excellent point that Pyrex vision isn't a long track - because it's short-lived and dope - like a crack high - and the track has crack content.

When I saw it from that perspective it made it even better to me.

Wall to wall bangers. 10 Bricks probably my favorite but Kiss The Ring one of the GOAT album closers to me like a celebration of everything Wu. With the Masta Killa verse toasting the Lex Diamond character

i dont think we realized how great this album was at the time, sure it wasnt the original but it was as good as it coulda been. this is gonna be really tested on SC2.
