I remember a few slime balls trying to take advantage of the situation.
I was living in San Diego at the time.
Less than a day after Katrina hit, it was niccaz hanging out at
gas stations wearing Mardi Gras beads, holding signs,
claiming to be from Nawleans...Looking for donations, of course
The local news stations had to issue a warning on the fraudulence

I moved with my sister summer of 05 to Gulfport, Ms, just to get caught in the worse hurricane in American history 
. What was normally a 10hr drive became 20hrs in order for us to get back to our home town, and we left right before the hurricane touched down.. shyt was a horror movie for us
