The music is at an all time low right now. This is what happens when you co-sign bullshyt music and appeal to only the youth. BET went downhill ever since they sold out to Viacom. That's probably why both Free and AJ posted this on their instagram today after the news broke

Why are yall happy with this news??? :what:

Theres NO music TV countdowns on TV anymore.

Its like a class of TV died
The music died so why worry about the shows distributing the trash? As far as I'm concerned it's time to destroy and rebuild all that shyt from the music to the programming. Once acts like The Migos become respected artist in the genre it's time to destroy that genre and get back to the foundation.

Good f*ckin riddance!

But then again, I've been done with BET. I can't forget when they refused to play Little Brother's "Lovin It" video back in 2005 cause they said that it was "too intelligent" for their audience. IE "white viacome owned BET wants black people to be dumb and stay in the ghetto". f8ck em!

show was always corny, after rap city that basement died. BET was OVAY
It'll always be like this...the goat hip-hop/rap tv shows were.

1. Yo! MTV Raps
2. Rap City
3. MTV Jams

Everything else pales in comparison. That includes all that bullshyt like Direct Effect that only lasted for a year with Teck Money from the Real World Hawaii.

Once 106 & Park came on the air, hip-hop in the mainstream was already dying/dead. 2001-2003 was a very weird era of time for the game. 9 million swizz beats era rip offs, Ja Rule singin on records with Ashanti, Eminem actually becoming a thing and becoming a household name when 8 Mile came out, that whole Anticon/Def Jux nerd indie rapper pre-hipster era....sad thing is I'd take that back for the garbage we got now.

The only saving grace from that was State Property and The Neptunes coming up in the game.
