Man you know how it is with Canelo. Any close competitive rounds the haters are gonna automatically give it to his opponent and cry conspiracy when the judges score it accurately.. nikkas tried to downplay and underrate Bivol the moment it looked like Canelo was gonna fight him.. I can remember arguing with dumb nikkas in here trying to claim Jermall Charlo was tougher opposition.. Canelo issue has and will always be his stamina which will happen the more he continues to jump up n down in weight.. If Canelo can keep his stamina up for at least 7 rounds I see him beating Bivol on the cards
Canelo wasn't even landing anything significant on bivol what fight qas tou watching lol. Bivol would hit him flush with 3-4 punch combos every other arm hit bu canelo

There was literally nothing competitive about that fight. fukk stamina. He got out skilled and outclassed. Bivol is a better all around boxer lol.

This is the crazy part of boxing to me.

When I hear Canelo (and even Canelo’s biggest hater Floyd) say that Bivol was an insane challenge to take, I appreciate that, especially in lieu of these wack ass fights these days.

Revisionist history, when Canelo was about to fight Bivol the entire internet and this forum was clowning Canelo saying he was picking a inferior fighter and ducking the top dogs…Just because y’all didn’t know Bivol, but now that you do (thanks to Canelo), Canelo is “overrated”

Also, I’m Zurdo/Bivol size. Another crazy thing to me is that I ran into Caleb Plant in Vegas and he’s like the size of a teenager to me. But I know that’s why boxers have weight classes, it’s just crazy to see in real life after watching someone on tv.

Canelo is smaller than Caleb Plant, so I’m like there is no way a Canelo should be fighting a Zurdo or Bivol lmao - I mean that fight in the street would be called unfair, but again, I just can’t clown this guy for taking on those guys and not winning…that’s actually hella dope to me. It feels like people just wanna be mad.

Last unrelated thing - heavyweights def are smoking eveyone. Like I said I’m Zurdo size and dudes like Let’s Go Champ Shannon Briggs were towering over me. And yea, I know it’s “the bigger they are…” but these dudes actually can fight so…

Bivol looked like shyt in those fights after he was elevated. Even more so after Dadashev passed so anyone picking Canelo was justified by his previous fights against Richards and Salamov.

Exactly. It was everyone’s beleif it was a cherry pick and Canelo was better. And Canelo underperformed. It backfired

it was the perfect storm for Bivol to find his mojo.

The Canelo win helped Bivols stock to the point where many folks feel the Beterbiev fight may be competitive.

And honestly Canelos undisputed run gave him damn near a terminator mystique (look at the nonsense of he should fight Usyk lmfao).

Usyk would beat the DOG shyt outta Canelo

:mjlol: Yall love to exaggerate how one sided the entire fight was.. its pretty comical. Are you trying to convince me or yourselves?? Only time the fight wasn't competitive was when Canelo gassed after the going into the 2nd half

Yeah Bivol is exceptional with the bop one, two and the third on the way-out with the switch foot.

But i still think a clever coach/training camp with a game plan could unravel that and get a decision off the counters scored.

I don't really remember people clowing Canelo for taking the Bivol fight?

I shyt on Canelo a lot, but most, if not all people were saying it was a difficult fight.

The only knock at the time was that he may have been sliding off from Benavidez. Which is entirely legit.
