Absolutely not. His corner was prepping him up to go back out there. Then Andrade looked his corner man dead in the face and told him to stop it.

We gotta keep the energy consistent. If this was a guy y'all hated like canelo. Or Shakur. Or BUD. Y'all would be crucifying them. And guys have been crucified for doing it all throughout history. But it is what it is. Andrade did what he felt was best for himself. He's still a warrior at the end of the day. He gotta make it back home to his family. But he 100% quit on that stool. That was his decision. Nobody else's.

Yeah he did.

Starting at 2:06 after the bell you can see the ref ask him is he okay.

Then in the corner the ref says " Guys I'm not gonna watch that again alright" Meaning he's ready to stop the fight.

Then Andrade's corner man is talking to him, he shakes his head and you can see him saying stop it. And then his corner man taps the ref and tells him to stop it.

Like you said though Nothing to be ashamed of . He put forth a hell of an effort and ate a bunch of bombs from Benevidez for as long as he could. Nobody could survive them shots :picard:

There was a UK Boxing analyst, forgot his name. He said how Andrade had an opportunity to fight Billy Joe Saunders and John Ryder and for some reason wasn't able to fight them. He said if he fought at that level at least he would have some championship level experience to make him more prepared for this fight

As soon as he got hit with the first hard shot by Benavidez, Andrade was so confused on what to do next. shyt was kind of embarrassing. Should have been chasing tough competition instead of chasing Canelo

I would say GGG, Lara, Caleb Plant, and Callum Smith
Calum isn't elite. Caleb Plant has lost every big match he's been in so far. Lara beat him. GGG beat him twice. And he knows he lost because he didn't want those rematches...the judges gave him a two point victory..wtf over ggg....come on. Canelo is all smoke and mirrors.

Last year it was "I don't fight Mexicans." Now he's trying to fight Mungia..a clear duck move. Called Andrade horrible and he wanted PAYDAY..yet he said it was 50/50 with him vs Benavidez. Comical.

This is my view on Canelo. Yeah he is the Cash Cow of Boxing
And it makes everyone think he's the baddest man on the planet. But if you were to just take away all of that and look at his resume objectively, it's a decent resume regardless :ehh: . I just don't think it's an unbelievable all time resume and some want you to think. If that makes sense

Once of the main differences is that canelo is much better in close quarters. He's gonna be able to catch David inside with uppercuts. David needs space and a stationary target to really get off. But there's always that question mark about canelo's stamina. If David can manage to make it to the later rounds it could get interesting. Cause canelo usually needs to take some rounds off to reenergize. But David's chin is going to be tested like never before.

I just don't think pressure is enough to beat canelo. It's not the same pressuring a guy who can hurt you with one shot. You can't just walk in carelessly like David usually does. Cause canelo will eventually walk you into something. It's not just about canelo's skill. It's about his IQ. He knows how to set guys up.
:mjlol: you don't think Canelo is a stationary target?

Even GGG was able to put hands on him, he just couldn't/was unable to put multiples together due to age/being slow as fukk.

Benevidez will be open for counters though.

This is exactly what I was saying in this thread. You cannot go from normally fighting on the C or B- tier of fighters to fighting on the A tier at the tail-end of your and career, and reasonably expect good results. Even someone as talented as Boots should fight some like Thurman before he gets into the ring with a Crawford.

Andrade would have beat most of the top dudes at 168 that night....problem is that Benavidez is too big and powerful. Andrade power was not translating and he couldn't escape the 6'3 monster that kept coming at him with deadly punches. Benavidez is clearly the best at 168 right now and will beat the taco juice out of Canelo.

i just don't understand why Canelo fanboys are acting like Canelo would have done Andrade the same way.....A fight between Canelo and Andrade would be closer then how this one went.

No the fukk it wouldn't have :mjlol: ....canelo would have beaten Andrade worse than he did jermell. Quite simply cause jermell is a better fighter than Andrade. With a better defense and a WAY better chin. Which is why Andrade ducked him years ago. Canelo woulda did Andrade like he did Khan. Asleep. One punch. Face down. Ass up.

LOL at Andrade beating most of the top guys at 168. Jesus Christ y'all are delusional:russ:

who would he have beaten exactly?

Plant?....no

Morell?....hello no

Canelo?....fukk outta here

Matter of fact. fukk the top guys. John Ryder batters Andrade to a late stoppage and that's a fact. Y'all need to let it go. Andrade was always overrated with zero durability and an abysmal defense. And Saturday night proved that once and for all. The hypejob is officially over.

Yeah, buddy tripping. That man Andrade was gassed from 2 rounds of body shots in round 5. Canelo probably knocks him out in 7 or 8, maybe earlier.

I predicted Benavidez was going to knockout Andrade by the 10th round. If you think Canelo was going to treat Andrade the same way Benavidez just did him or that Andrade vs Plant wouldn't be competitive then you need to lay off the pipe. How have you been watching boxing for so long and still don't understand that styles makes fights :mjlol:.......only reason why you are so happy and trying to discredit a world champion in two weight classes as being simply a "hypejob" is because you are a canelo fanboy......tell ginger to fight Benavidez next :umad:
