[12/28] Monday Night Raw Thread: Return of the Mack

Looks like by reading this last page alone it was a wise decision to go with Netflix over RAW

That WWE "main event style" is so ass when you have your entire roster doing it. Sucks even more when there's no drama at all.

Austin/Rock/HHH wrestled that style in multiple matches, yet was varied enough to where it wasn't stale, on top of having the Hardcore division and tag division doing things that were a major contrast. That Becky/Sasha match was bland and bad, and there was no difference between that match and 99/100 of the times Orton/Cena faced each other.

Emulating that style is not wise especially for these 2. The blame is on T.v restrictions, bad agenting and a bad match format. It's not the fault of Sasha or Becky.

Fukk man, was that one of the shyttest raw's in recent memory or what? Terrible, the whole 3 hours was terrible

Also, the WWE Champion and future of the company getting Daniel Bryan and CM punk chants during his promo... yeah WWE's in a good place

Watch some classic attitude era Raw's and watch 2015, the difference is and

Shyt storylines, shyt promos, shyt matches, same old shyt, same Cena shyt for 11 years, Reigns is boring, comms are shyt, crowds are shyt, the damn ring ropes and set design is shyt, the whole show is bad. Yet I still watch every week cause I have some free time Joke's on me really

Remember when Vince opened the AE and said "We are not going to insult our audience's intelligence, not have the classic good guy vs bad guy anymore", well fukk you Vince you lying SOB

I finally watched the end of that greatest Raw episode thread @Silkk created and it was very good from back to front. Damn..the Rocky chants were numerous during that damn 10 main event. Huge pops for Foley, Rikishi, and eventually Rock getting the tag. Nonstop match too...Benoit, Saturn, Foley, Malenko, Cripple H, and Rock were just nonstop moving and doing $hit the whole match..REFUSED to allow it to get even CLOSE to the word "Boring".

They need to bring back the Women's Tag Team belts and let her and Mina run w/it.

they do need this. sign a few vets to populate the roster so it isn't the same 6 girls wrestling each other. Rosita and Sarah stock come to mind as a tag team thats already experienced. don't know what Awesome Kong and Mickie James' status are but them too

Were you actually watching? Though you're right about match quality (I've always said the current roster has more legitimate wrestling ability than past rosters), but at one point or another, everybody back then got some type of shine, and you were able to have a vested interest in characters, whether lower card or main event. I had every reason to cheer or boo The Godfather, D'Lo, Crash, and APA as I did Mankind, Austin, HHH, Rock, etc. Even if the women couldn't wrestle, they were continuously seen and were linked to people to get you interested in them. Chyna with HHH/Eddie, Ivory/RTC, Tori with X-Pac/Kane, etc. Neville has more wrestling ability than a bunch of those people I named...but what reason should I cheer him? Why am I supposed to care about Ascension? I'm a fan of Ziggler, Rusev, Barrett and Ambrose, but the way they've been booked for awhile, what exactly is supposed to make me gain interest in them other than simply potential?

See I think looking at the attitude era stuff on the network that some of it was the time and the freshness and the crowds . And I mean with the bottom tier guys mostly like I look at some of those old raws in a vacuum and if put before a modern smark crowd idk if they are viewed as favorably . In a vacuum I mean the stars would rise but some of the other stuff doesn't hold up

The excuses for Sasha and Becky already starting...

It was your standard 7 minute wwe women's match expanded to 15. The Babyface not getting enough offense in, Heat sequences lasting too long, not enough counters/ transitions for the crowd to invest in Becky, plus the wrong person won. That is on booking/ match agents.
