happy for andre reed and mike pettine- both dudes deserve their recent accomplishments. as far as the team, i'm just indifferent on them. they probably need a number 1 receiver and a corner- i'm not sold on gilmore- dude still gets beat on 3rd downs too consistently. resign byrd and hackett needs to stop being so predictable on 1st down.

i like ej but he's turning into captain checkdown on the low and his accuracy on short throws is frustrating. i went to the jags game this year, probably will hit a game next year. i'm almost numb to it.

all last night, i was watching the highlights of sb 25 vs the giants, replaying in my mind what could have been done different. so close yet so far, all the 3 sb's after don't even bother me, the giants one hurts

i like him as a qb, i don't want his head on a platter- i just want him to show signs. certain things just didn't flow with me, he kinda was always passive on the read option always handing it off when the line was crashing down on the back.

he always had lanes to run, never took them. i think he will have a better 2nd year though, i like his potential, he just need to tighten up his accuracy

Coaching staff probably teaching him to stay in the pocket. He's looked good in some games and meh in others. Still need more time to determine whether he's the guy or not. Buffalo needs a #1 receiver in the worst way.

I just found this article that Hackett was very impressed with Thad Lewis preparation before the Bengals and he was able to run his whole offense. This shows how much improvement EJ needs to make and that he probably should've been backing up a veteran QB as Hackett's simplified version offense for EJ was

Ej doesn't have it

Winston was better than Manuel in 1 year in jimbos system

Last year was EJ's first year and he only played in 9 games. He had some good, average and poor moments but most of his problems are coachable. Manuel suffered 3 knee injuries last year and didn't get in as many reps as other rookie QBs. He showed some positive qualities. EJ knows how to protect the football and isn't afraid to use his legs. Manuel has a strong short to intermediate arm strenth though he lacks accuracy.
