So why do people actually think this would work?
It'd increase unemployment, replacement with robots, price hiking, overseas employment, and increased inflation would happen from this.
If you support this or disagree with me, could you explain why this is a good idea or why you disagree with me?

Note this isn't even an idea presented as just applying to large corporations; mom and pops would be hurting.
Meanwhile at the Nike Factory US workers will get paid more, all 50 of them left until they slowly get replaced by automated systems, contract workers, and outsourcing

All of this is and would be happening regardless of the minimum wage (or even if there wasn't one).

That said I think 15 is a bit much, but IMO the min wage should be at least 10/hr, and I'd lean more towards 12.

Education and training doesn't mean someone has to have a 4 year degree or a PHd, all I'm implying is that ppl need opportunity and funding for training that will give them better opportunities and better paying jobs that they can live off of.

go be an HVAC technician, go be a plumber or some other trade. Go work in a day care or become personal support worker or someone that works in retirement homes, get in to any health care, get in to corrections or other types of law enforcement, real-estate, drive a bus or street car or subway operator go be a pilot. guess what???

these are all types of job that don't require you to ever even step foot in a university but still pay a decent living wage.

I honestly have little sympathy for any healthy person between the age of 22-50 that feels that a minimum wage job is all they can aspire to.

Walmart cashiers and greeters, mcdonalds burger flippers are jobs for seniors, students, or ppl that just want to augment their homes with a SECOND income.

ppl crying cause they can't live off of these jobs get ZERO sympathy from me.

LOL, this won't happen. This is just more of them putting a band-aid on an amputated limb.

A higher minimum wage will NOT cure the problems that poor people have and will ultimately give them a false sense of security.

Instead of trying to better themselves via education and adopting sound financial strategies, they'll become complacent and dependent on 'Da Gubment' to do their thinking for them.

What's actually needed is a massive decrease in the cost of living so that minimum wage is actually livable instead of survivable.

If you don't know the difference between them, you've never been poor.

Sure, but its not about if it would happen, its about how much it would happen.

Not to mention that this would really mess up small businesses. This is who the policy will harm the most.
Wallstreet is rubbing their hands at that increase in profit from the mom and pops who have to pay low because they are struggling to survive. So when these mom and pops try to hire temp workers they would be paying double, increasing the chances they'd tank
