What's stopping stores who get these on release day from just putting a couple pairs on the side and waiting till the price go up?
That's why I can't fukk with this shyt, it's basically designed to create an artificial resell market thru exclusivity. I got the black suede Jordan V with the gray tongue for $150 when they came out like 2011 or whatever. Walked right in and copped, now them shyts $350+ . Also got some Jordan 11s from 2001 release. That was another cop where I just walked into a random store and copped. All that waiting in line shyt is
I remember when being a 'sneaker head' simply meant you had sneaks other nikkas didn't have. This was before the Internet wave tho like 95-2000 when nikkas had to actually travel to find sneaks on the low. I lived in south Philly and would always go to Frankford or NE to find sneaks south Philly stores didn't carry. That made me a sneaker head to basic nikkas round my way who only copped the Jordan's and bo jacksons every foot locker in the city sold. This new shyt with sneakers being announced on blogs 6 months before release and all that bullshyt makes it about what ever spoiled kid is going pay $600 on the resell market or whatever unemployed nikka can dedicate standing in line for 8 hours for some fukking sneaks
