you couldnt go anywhere without hearing this album for well over a year.

real spit, i used to stay arguing with people who didnt follow the charts, because they used to assume that the lox album sold like 4 mil cuz everybody and their grandmom was bangin that lox chit.
Son I thought that shyt had to do at least plat....it was everywhere in the streets....heard the shyt hardly hit gold

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
the bad boy album was way better though...nikkas act like that album had 15 tracks like "if you think im jiggy"
that was the dumbest choice they EVER made

puff wasn't holding them back or making them sell out. they had ONE dance type single.. the rest was street shyt and hard tracks

they ran off to ruff ryders, album wasn't a great and they still chased that radio with ryde or chick bytch.. next thing you know jada doing tracks with mariah and these nikkas still haven't dropped another lox album

Considering most Bad Boy acts only get one album, it wasn't the worst decision ever to leave while they still had a buzz

Lol at the first album being better than we are the streets....y'all nikkaz werid man....I can tell y'all wasn't fukking with mix tape clue lox if y'all thought the first lp was better

I was fukking with mixtape Lox....especially around the time of the state prop beef

but I felt the first album was better too (which most people wouldn't agree to....but I'm entitled to my opinion)

As much as nikkas hate on Puff I think he's a damn good producer even if it's not him making the beats. (for whatever reason those Bad Boy projects had the right balance of being well rounded, something I thought their 2nd album lacked)

that was a lie at the time... biggie got two, mase got two, lox just went plat... they'd get another one.

and instead they went to RR, and only dropped 1 anyway so what's the difference?

they know they fukked up.. cause just like mase.. when it was all said and done, they came right back to puff, trying to sign back to bad boy.. they know they fukked up a good thing. thought they'd go to RR and be dmx juniors... they couldn't even get a second release date over there or a hit song/album and got the nerve to talk down about bad boy

shyt always blows my mind when I realize a lot of the music I listen to is 15-25yrs old :mindblown:

Time really does fly.
Would young cats even recognize a song from a lox album?

young cats love the lox.

but yea, time does fly.

are we forgetting that the lox dropped a gang of solo albums of ruff ryders? i think the issues with bad boy played a part in them not putting out another group album.

biggie & mase were superstars. black rob went platinum. how long did it take for him to get a 2nd release?

:comeon: ...not this shyt again. :snoop: are we really gonna forget about the majority of them having more than one album? nikkas dont even understand how the industry works and they wanna speak on it like that :what::stopitslime:, average lifespan or whatever for an artist on a label is 2 albums i believe. thats how it works. these contracts and shyt dont last forever. sure you got nikkas like shyne, g dep, and loon, but g dep and loon got dropped cause they werent selling and shyne was incarcerated. thats why he didnt drop another, but when you really think about it, mase, big, 112, total, faith, black rob, and majority of those 90s early 2000s nikkas all had more than one album. how many more did lox (as a group) have after they switched to another label :usure::sas2:. speaking of other labels, how many albums for each of its artists did death row have? :mjpls: how many albums did murder inc and ruff ryders crank out before tanking? i guess the point is, is bad boy got way more longevity than alot of these rap labels so when youre around for 20 years thats gonna leave alot of room to fuk up in

Was actually talking about their mixtapes while they was on bad boy.... Lox family joint and clue tapes....when I heard that album as a kid I was disappointed.... I was expecting the heat from the mix tapes.... Don't get me wrong tho the first joint had some heat but its not fukking with the rawness of the second one

I didn't really like this album that much, their debut was slightly better.

i remember very clearly when this dropped:

1- It was a flop sales wise the first week
2- It got a review saying it was high on body counts but extremely low on subject matter.
3- Album cover was terrible.

Cool album for what it was though.

MPR better. this is good but only for a few tracks. jadas first solo album on RR is better i suppose, but lox shouldve finished more material as a group/collective on either one of the labels.

Recognize is one of the best songs/beats of all time

Other than that, Breathe Easy, fukk You Ride or Die, bytch, and Blood Pressure are great

the rest of the album was either aight or wack

The beat to If You Think Im Jiggy is awesome. That hook was atrocious though. I still like the song.

Money, Power, Respect > We Are The Streets

that was the dumbest choice they EVER made

puff wasn't holding them back or making them sell out. they had ONE dance type single.. the rest was street shyt and hard tracks
