This name will go straight to the trash can if I have to review resumes.
He was damaged goods before he even stepped out of the womb.

Martavious ain't even that bad.

I saw a chick on Facebook name her kid "Kuhdream" :skip:

And no I didn't mispell that. :skip:
how is that different than Janet, except for your familiarity with one vs. the other?:skip: what the fukk is a "janet" in today's world,:skip: I mean it has etymological root that goes back to Yahweh but most people naming their kids "Janet" today don't know that:beli:. They just think it's pretty and are familiar with it:pachaha:, someone naming their kids "Kuhdream", happens to subscribe to only the former criterion, no big deal imo:yeshrug:.

I dont see why we cant do both. A Jamal or Darius is still gonna stick out on a application the same as a Martavius. Yall arent looking at the bigger picture this shyt is deeper than conforming with names. A racist aint gonna like you regardless. You're a corporate type nikka so I understand why names mean so much to you but im business minded, my name is "white' but I dont plan on working in an area where my name would matter in the first place. Progress comes from owning but let me not sidetrack this thread any further.
you think darius is a black name?

I dont see an issue with the names but at least make them sound nice. martavious sounds like shyt

fukk man...four syllables?

You just explained in a post before how Martin is derived from Latin. Thus we can conclude that there is a greater chance of creating new names off Latin words in American society than creating names off African languages that we have never came across.

Which makes your argument moot. b*stardization of latin is acceptable as organically black but the proper latin names are white? You cant have it both ways.

I'm saying though...you even have black people who believe Marcus is a 'black name' :stopitslime:

I think Darius is a black name? Did I not make it clear in earlier post that we adopted names from other cultures that over time has been looked at as black names?

You are contradicting your original post. You keep going on about African names yet if the original name in the OP was Adrian (a latin name) you would have never talked shyt about his name in the first place. We "b*stardize"latin names because we live in a society with latin influence. We just put our own spin on it aka making our OWN culture.
Breh... :mjlol:

Just take the L.
Whats the L, black people arent allowed to have our own names? You guys wish for acceptance through assimilation that will never happen regardless of what our names are.
