Never played the original, but seems like it was well ahead of its time in doing a lot of the things that are very popular now.

Card packs, multiplayer combat, strategic customization.

Done right could be the new overwatch.

It was . I had RHCP as my soundtrack of choice. I matched each song up with a certain stage, and I would just play for hours. I got my first hate mail from playing this game. Strategy so deep. This definitely could get a following like Overwatch if they set it up right.
