Sad to say, my pops said that fights never happened in parties and even your enemies knew their place when to beef and not to beef. Now, fights and gunshots is commonplace in many areas and people are :manny: about it. Ratchet hoes don't make it better.

Sylvia Robinson, the Godmother of Rap and Hip-Hop music, 2nd female record label owner in 1974 (Ms. Zell Sanders was 1st in 1956), and executive of the legendary pioneering label; Sugarhill Records. Ms. Robinson released in 1979, the first successful rap single called "Rapper's Delight," from the group "The Sugarhill Gang." The featured vocalists of this legendary-chart topping tune are: Wonder Mike, Big Bank Hank and Master G... This hit has sold over 10million copies to date!

Ms. Sylvia Robinson passed-on September 29, 2011, at age 75, in Englewood, New Jersey, USA...

This is a retrospective, dedication, and commemoration of her life and career.

Thank-you Ms. Sylvia Robinson, our Hip-Hop Godmother, for your energy, vision, courage, audacity, business drive, and creative sharing. You'll never be forgotten!

My Dad said similar. He said before Crack, blacks had a lot of pride, wouldn't make fools out of ourselves in public. We were big on knowledge and grooming.
