Philly bouls, Trust the Process
Besides steals & blocks per game, what else do they use to determine a great defender:jbhmm:
Eye test, team success/impact, reputation, and most importantly now analytical measures and tracking data like DRPM, DBPM, DWS, deflections, etc.

RPM is generally the best all-in-one stat in my opinion if you're interested, especially for defense

How in the hell did Murray make the 2nd-team? He only averaged 21 minutes (a large amount against second units). There's no way anyone can justify picking him - don't get me wrong, he's a very good defender, but he didn't average enough minutes nor did he have enough defensive reps. Especially over dudes who averaged 10+ minutes and started all throughout the season. This year's teams are even worse than last year's.

Horford and Smart should be 1st-team, no question - the fact Smart hasn't even made either team in his career is a travesty.
Oladipo shouldn't be on either team
Covington shouldn't be on either team
Gobert got far too many 1st team votes (Embiid's are far too low)
Holiday and Davis deserve their selections

Good list. At least there are no more legacy picks like kobe or cp3
CP3 had 74 total points, only five behind Butler. He's still getting legacy votes.
Both AD & Jrue are terrific defenders, but having multiple 1st team selections for a team that was only average defensively is :patrice:
To be fair, when Boogie went down their defense got A LOT better.

Pelicans defense before Boogie's injury - 106.9 DRTG (bottom-10 defense - #21)
Pelicans defense after Boogie's injury - 103.8 DRTG (top-10 defense - #6)

Word to @Left.A1
