I get that you're a 76ers fan, but he didn't deserve it, and I fukks with Covington too. There were better forward candidates, especially since Embiid and Simmons either had more (the former) or near-equal (the latter) defensive impact for y'all.GTFOH

Dejounte Murray a media favorite early in his career, they low key always raving about him, he wouldn’t make this team if he wasn’t a Spur.
He’s a great defender but I’m not putting him over Marcus Smart or Josh Richardson.

Yes he does deserve it, Cov is a mastermind at getting through screens and blowing up pick and rolls, his deflections rate led the entire NBA and he guards 1-4 at an elite level. Not to mention top 3 in DRPM even ahead of JoJo. He's been masterful on the defensive end for years now and is just now getting his credit. I'm not gonna let ya'll shyt on everything he does for having a bad postseason.

Nah, you're giving him far, far too much credit. There's only a couple of players who are capable of doing that - Covington isn't one of them.
DRPM is a heavily flawed metric, and I dare hope you're not suggesting he has more defensive impact than Embiid.
He has been great on defense for a while now, I just don't think he deserved it over other forwards. I don't think it's a wrong selection like Murray's is, just that there were better candidates.
