I feel like I definitely identify more with American culture, but I want to change that after I went to Antigua last year and saw their Independence Day celebration (November 1, 1981 is the official date) ... I can understand the patois, but I can't speak it

Breh when i used to go there it used to get me legit upset. I had to ask for extra gravy, but its like they refused to put it on the food, they gave me a little cup of gravy on the side.
Like did yall cook the oxtail and drained it before you served it
I think its cause they tryna come across as high end so bad.
