For all the kids and non-street people in the thread, I don't want yall to get confused about what u should do if u are a victim of a crime. If ur car is stolen, u get stuck-up or somebody breaks into ur house or whatever, it is ok for u to call the police. If Oakland city limits were to include some of the surrounding areas to equal the population of SF, the crime rate would drop dramatically.

Frisco and Oakland both used to have about 100 murders a year. Yeah, SF is twice the size of Oakland, but the majority of SF homicides occur in the hood/grimey areas in HP, Fillmoe, Lakeview, the Mission, Sunnydale, the L's etc. Also, SF had a much higher homicide rate for blacks than Oakland and every big city in America, Baltimore and Detroit included, a few years ago and SF never makes "most dangerous cities lists".

Those most dangerous cities lists are a dumbed down average that don't take other things into account.

I grew up in the hood in SF in Lakeview right off of the infamous Randolph street and sh!t was hella bad back in the day in the 80' and 90's. Real baydestrians know that Lakeview was as bad as it got in terms of hoods in the Bay at the time. All dem upper middle class black areas in Oakland the media don't talk about was straight p#ssy compared to thew View. But I ain't never have to play outside wearing a bulletproof vest as a child. There are hoods everywhere. You could get bodied in some little hood no one has ever heard of in Nebraska. Ironically, most people unfamiliar with the Bay have never heard of hoods in Frisco or know about cities like EPA.

Not sure if serious. It depends what race you are and what part of town you're in. If you are young and Latino, you don't need to be fukking around in the wrong part of the Mission. If you show up in Sunnydale or the jects in Hunter's Point and you are a young black male and nobody knows you, there is a high probablity you might get murked on site.

It all has to do with the media. SF is an international tourist capital. The City don't want to scare away tourists so the other side of things in Frisco isn't advertised. Since the media don't talk about the Point, the Moe, the View, the Swamp etc., dumb a$$ mostly white people assume that there are no hoods in the Sco; which is far from true. The worst areas in SF are way out of the way and easy to avoid. SF is also only extremely dangerous for young blacks, Latinos (and some times Asians) the former two who make up a small percentage of the population. But big cities are the most dangerous for poor young minorities everywhere, so it evens out. Also, white people in SF love to think of themselves as being so liberal, foward-thinking and progressive that they refuse to let the rest of the country know that SF is one of the worst big cities for black people to live in this hemisphere.

Its funny that most out towners ain't never see nobody get bodied in front of their eyes in Compton or Oakland and may have never been within 1,000 miles of these places and they just assume these cities are 100% horrible with no redeeming qualities because of mainstream Rap music and the mainstream media. If you have no real experience in the hoods in Frisco or any city in America, there ain't no point in talking about it.
