This is incorrect. The first black people in the UK were by and large Afro-Caribbeans. Nowadays blacks in the UK are as likely to be Caribbean or African but since the former came first, they pretty much defined what it meant to be black and British. But you hear a ton of African words/phrases/lingo in UK slang more and more. It's a dope mix.
U mean slaves and former slaves. And army officers

Yo...it was this thread that made me log back on.

I'm dealing with this right now. The only thing is...these are friends from my high school and college years that i don't have anything in common with anymore and I'm more than 10 years removed from college since graduation.

After leaving Pittsburgh and moving to NYC i just became a completely different person.

I think about those moments in the past with those friends and its crazy how some people you thought would be there for a damn long time just become people you pass on the street without even looking twice.

Ive had so many falling outs with people, i realize its life and not to get hung up on it. We change and the world changes...eventually you aren't going to align anymore and thats cool.
