North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
1. NFL teams should redo the salary cap that will allow the salaries of their top 3 best players salaries not to count against the cap. At the very minimum their franchise players salary should not count against the cap. It could be for the life of the deal or for that one season. If you gonna have a hard cap tha barely moves you should at least give teams more flexibility. Either that or players salaries in general are gonna have to shrink like the rookies salaries did.

2. NBA should do away with the draft and force teams to recruit talent just like colleges do. I don't think it would lead to a concentration in talent but it will allow players to pair up into situations where the team they choose can thrive. I think it would lead to better teams overall and force weak franchises to fold if they can't recruit well.

And yall hate the Lakers and Heat now?!

You know how STACKED the Lakers and Heat would be every single season?:heh:

Would you rather play in LA or South Beach would be the only questions ever asked:whew:

The NBA one would cause complete chaos, cause without a draft, what happens to the rookie wage scale.

And College ball will turn into more fukkery than it already is(which wouldn't bother me one bit), NBA teams will be negotiating backdoor deals with Universities and coaches

In theory, but there are only so many spots on a team, and i'm sure guys would rather play, than sit on the bench, even in Miami and LA.

Lakers would have Andrew Wiggins next year starting at SF easily with no draft and having to "recruit" him against teams like the Bobcats, Cavs, Timberwolves looking on like:to:

You won't have super teams in the nba because you would still have the hard cap. players will still want max contracts and they all won't get it going to one team. You won't have 5 all stars on one team.

Great players shouldn't be forced to go to a team like the Bobcats or Raptors. Teams would have to do more and actually put together decent group of players to entice a star player to sign there.

The NFL rule is a simple one. A franchise players salary shouldn't count against the cap and a franchise tag salary structure would be predetermined every year so it would be the same amount across the board no matter the position. It would force teams to put someone who really deserves the money in that slot as well as for them to think about who will get it.

Would you rather start on the Bobcats/Cavs living in Charlotte or Cleveland.......or come off the bench for the Lakers/Heat living in Los Angeles/South Beach?

especially with the hard cap. You would have the same situation with James Harden. Harden could've stayed with OKC and played for less money but he wanted to get a max contract and be a starter.

the same concept would be the same only players would have more control over where they played.

The Lakers would have a dope squad but there would be more dope squads with this system and teams that suffer, would still suffer in todays system.

Would your rather make potentially 20 million per year or 5 million per year? :comeon:

I mean, I understand what you're saying breh....and I actually like your idea for the NFL.

BUT, a rookie is not making 20 mill per year. You never said anything about eliminating the rookie scale.

With that in mind, dont you think teams would "prepare" for the end of the college season and clear salary cap space like they do for Free Agency?

The Lakers have a 2014 plan for FA and they will acquire somebody's franchise player in the summer of 2014. All the contracts end at the time including Kobe's.

You think if a player the caliber of an Andrew Wiggins is coming out of college in the summer 2014, like he is, that the Lakers wouldn't just acquire him (on the rookie contract), and STILL sign their major FA....or 2 in the event they dont resign Dwight this year?

The League would have all the "once in a generation" type rookies playing on the best teams while teams like Utah wouldn't stand a chance in recruiting against such cities.
