Both sports should institute rules were there are cap exceptions for nikkas you draft or for nikkas that have been with the team for an extended period of time. The cap exists to prevent the richer teams from just buying a title. It's not supposed to punish teams that draft well and do a good job acquiring talent.

The free market NBA shyt is just :dead:. I am all for overhauling the draft process but seriously that shyt would just be ridiculous. If you think talent is too highly concentrated now (or throughout history) that shyt would just be :mindblown:. Finals would be some combo of Heat/Knicks vs. Lakers/Dallas each year with no exceptions for decades. At least now teams fall off and have to hope for that next generational talent to come along and hope he comes their way. With that system it would be a lock. You really think Duncan goes to SA, or Shaq goes to ORL, or Bron goes to Cleveland, or Mike to the Bulls etc. if every team had an equal shot at them? :usure: Basketball is the last sport something like that would work in because of how top heavy it is.

2. NBA should do away with the draft and force teams to recruit talent just like colleges do. I don't think it would lead to a concentration in talent but it will allow players to pair up into situations where the team they choose can thrive. I think it would lead to better teams overall and force weak franchises to fold if they can't recruit well.

Might as well stop fukking around and contract some teams expeditiously

Not that I agree with the OP but nikkas are competitive man, aint no nikka that really thinks they're the shyt gonna wanna come off the bench (I guesss they may not mind it their first couple years but eventually they gonna wanna make a legacy for themselves.) And also not every athlete is enamored by the south beach/la shyt. Hell look at the top colleges for basketball: UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana...

With that said, No they should not get rid of the NBA Draft

They're competitive to a degree.

That's the mentality a lot of players will have. They'll go where success is much more likely. A culture of losing is not something you volunteer for

Exactly. Competitive means you wanna win it doesn't mean you want to be in a fukked up circumstance or avoid a great circumstance. Beyond that it only matters were the best of the best go when you talk about basketball. And none of them nikkas would willingly go to the majority of markets in the league if given the choice as a rook.

The only rule the NBA NEEDS to change is "offensive basket interference"... We are on the same team, we all are trying to accomplish putting the ball in the hole its not interference. We'd get more points and more tip-in dunk highlights...
