Damn, I was a senior in HS....
2nd period creative writing class when them towers got struck. Pops caught me acting a fool but didn't care cuz he was at the door of the class like"my son, let's go...NOW!" Thought I was caught for sure. He told me as we were walking out that, "we had to leave something ugly and tragic had happened"
I wasn't understanding til I got in the car but boy I was pissedcuz I planned on getting that Blueprint and Ghetto Fabolous albums after school and I knew that wasn't gonna happen. I was begging pops in the car to see if we could swing by Union Station real quick so I could hit the Sam Goody to snatch them albums...pops looked at me with the combo of
like "bruh, we going HOME NOW!!! We gotta pray" not too long later all of DC was scrambling and the city was a mess
Breh, you aren't the first person ive heard say this in regards to 9/11 and the blueprint. Its CRAZY how much we valued music back then (and yes children, ppl was still bootlegging back then, hell sometimes it was better than the retail).
National Tragedies happened and people STILL went and copped the blueprint.
"Rumor has it, the blueprint's classic, couldn't even be stopped by bin laden"
