The stats dont show it breh. And yeah overall, I would say so.

Stats don't mean shyt to me because they don't tell the whole story, I've watched them both play and Kobe was by far a more dangerous player in his prime. His playing in a more stacked conference and having a bad team to carry doesn't change that fact. LeBron can't do the things Prime Kobe did, Prime Kobe can do all the things LeBron can. :yeshrug:

Wade, Dirk, Jordan, Magic, Bird, Greg Popovich, Pat Riley, etc. Hell even LeBron himself as late as 2009 said Kobe was the best in the NBA. I could keep going but I forgot. Check my post history cause I'm sure others in here remember all the quotes and videos I've posted on this subject. When it comes to NBA players and coaches, there was pretty much universal acknowledgement of Kobe as the best player int he league for most of the last decade. And definitely him being the best player in the NBA of this generation.

You can join the chorus of other Kobe haters who discount the testimony of Kobe's peers as to his greatness, but don't put your head in the sand and act like it didn't happen. Almost every day during the mid-to-late 2000s, there was a player or coach coming out calling Kobe the best player in the world.

I'm not a Kobe hater. I've had the opportunity to meet him before. He's a good dude. And this is just my opinion. Doesnt make it a fact, its just what I believe. You're free to believe what you want too. But if I'm starting a team, I want Lebron, he can do more with less.

What stats did I post a few minutes ago? :wtf:

I said Prime Kobe is a better player individually than LeBron is at any point in his career. That has nothing to do with stats, simply who the better player is with regards to skills. Kobe in his prime was nearly impossible to contain because he was effective anywhere on the floor and that's with a shyt squad for the best years, LeBron can be contained and its been shown.

I know LeBron is the in thing right now but Kobe will always be his superior.

now what about the most important stat.

5-2 in the finals vs. 2-3

I'll give you that Bron is the king of the boxscore. Kobe is just better at LEADING his teams to championships.

He didn't lead anyone to anything in the Shaq era. Shaq was undoubtedly the leader of that team and the first option and managed to win another ring before Kobe and yeah that's a good stat. But Lebron isn't done yet. Kobe's pretty much finished, and not because he can't deliver, but because the Lakers are in shambles.

Kyrie/Love/Lebron will contend for the next few years.

ok. now respond to the rest of my post. you may think bron is better. thats fine. everyone has a right to an opinion. just don't say shyt like most of the players in the league didn't have kobe as the best for most of the last decade. there are tons of videos on youtube of kobe's peers calling him the best player in the nba for most of the last decade and the closest to jordan.

including lebron. who has never been shy about admitting that kobe is better than him.

The difference is this. Kobe can be close to Jordan. As good as he is, he's a carbon copy of Jordan. Does everything Jordan could do, just not as a good. Lebron has a chance to surpass Jordan. He probably won't. Actually I know he won't, but he has the skillset, and the talent to do so.

Lebron is a once in a lifetime player. Kobe isn't. Because it's been done before.

My opinion.

lmfao, an injured Kobe led the Lakers in OT to a pivotal win against the Pacers during our first title. Only thing Shaq led in was touches, Kobe and Shaq both led the team in different ways. If it were still Shaq only the Lakers wouldn't of been winning shyt.

Kobe was so unstoppable in 04; 06, and 08. :troll:

Kobe's 3 ball is better than Jordan making him a more effective player anywhere on the floor, you could argue Kobe's footwork is also much better....I don't recall Jordan dreamshaking nikkaz in the post or hittin Dirk fadeaways since Kobe is a carbon copy of Jordan. LeBron doesn't have the skillset to be better than Jordan, Kobe, or Magic. Crashing into the paint like Earl Campbell isn't a skill, it's a physical luxury.

lol, get these old ass throwaway espn talkin points the fukk outta here. :russ:

1 HOF, 2 all star big men, and some perfect role players
I really don't see a horrible team :yeshrug:

:dahell: who are the 2 all-star big men? because Bynum made his only all-star game in 2012, 2 years after our last trip to the finals. and he never really played during those runs cause he was always injured (including missing the entire 2008 playoffs). Odom never made an all-star team.

and Gasol was a one-time all-star in 7 pro seasons before joining Kobe.

so no, there were no 2 all-star bigs on that roster. it was one HOFer (Kobe), one all-star (Gasol), and a bunch of role players.
