stupidest teams in the nba...

hawks...just lost josh smith for absolutely nothing, such a mediocre, boring franchise with no hopes of ever going far

jazz...team full of power forwards and centers...why wouldn't they trade millsap and jefferson for a pair of gaurds...jefferson for jennings and millsap for shumpert...no point to resign either big man with favors and kanter backing up...jazz have the worst backcourt i ever seen, pathetic franchise

i figure, if you cant get a respectable offer for josh smith, then you might as well let him walk and tank for the 2014 draft.

as for the jazz, why would you want to blow up an up-n-coming team? getting rid of jefferson is a horrible idea. they shouldve moved millsap tho, since they cant keep both of them. but they may think that favors isnt ready. kanter certainly isnt ready.

jefferson is one of the best centers in the league.

For a small market team like the Jazz making the playoffs is a huge deal as far as getting extra revenue and securing season ticket holders for next year even if they get swept

They're still in the playoff hunt. They were in a tough spot. Either trade Jefferson and/or Millsap and cost yourself a playoff spot or ride out and see what happens. Keep in mind there's nothing to gain this year by not making the playoffs.

Unless they know they can re-sign Jefferson, there is nothing to gain by not trading them. Maybe Canter is years away from being ready. But they still got they Millsap/Favors jam.

The Jazz front office know they have no shot at winning the 'ship this year...not with the backcourt they have.

They know Favors and Kanter are ready. They just don't wanna intentionally throw away this season. Again, it's a tough position to be in, especially since it doesn't look like there's some awesome guard out there they could have gotten back for Millsap or Big Al (I woulda looked into Bledsoe, but that's about it)

I wonder who the Heat are going to pick up?

Heat announce they also sent cash plus Pittman & a pick to Memphis. They really wanted that roster spot.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
I'm not saying Jordan Crawford is a star, but the Celtics really didn't give up anything at all

Not a bad deal, he could fill in that Barbosa role nicely, and adding any kind of youth and athleticism is always a good thing.

But yawn at this deadline, very disappointed in these general managers having no testicular fortitude.

Source: Atlanta Hawks blow up deal at last minute that would've sent Josh Smith to Milwaukee. Hawks would've received Ekpe Udoh, Luc Mbah-Moute, Beno Udrih and a protected No. 1 pick. Can't imagine the Bucks are happy having invested so much time in trying to make it happen. Leaves big question now if Hawks can do better this summer. 19 minutes ago

K-Mart

The Miami Heat are "atop" the list to sign free agent Kenyon Martin. Miami traded Dexter Pittman today and cleared up a roster spot.

The Magic are expected to waive Hakim Warrick, who they received in the deal with Charlotte that sent Josh McRoberts to Bobcats.

Probably will catch on with a team looking at a playoff run with an open roster spot (Heat, Celtics, etc.)
