Stein:
Golden State indeed made its two tax-shaving trades before 3 PM deadline: Jeremy Tyler to Atlanta and Charles Jenkins to Philly

The Jazz are the biggest losers to me...you can't let Milsap or Al walk when you KNOW they not coming back.

worst case scenario is they get signed and traded to a non tax paying team, whoever that is. At the moment, the Jazz could fukk around and be a 6 seed in the West with what they have. If that's losing, then I'm tired of this winning shyt.

Not sure why everyone wanted the Hawks to trade Smith for garbage. If they were smart they wouldve dealt him last year before he gained leverage...but letting a player walk for nothing isnt always the worst thing in the world.

Don't know what the hell Utah is thinking tho

Idk why it is crazy to think Smoove will resign to Atlanta. After we sign Dwight, he's gon be too tempted to come back

I understand keeping Jefferson to a degree, he's the best player and trading him would be a flatout white flag to the fans. But Milsap? :usure: It's been obvious for a while that he's gone, and what will a sign-and-trade help them get? A 2nd and cash? I think they could get more now for him, but I'm not the GM lol

ATL did good in not trading J.SMOOVE, its better to gamble in FA than accept a corny trade

What would trading him NOW have gotten them? Clearly not enough to make something happen.

Supposedly they were looking for Derrick Williams and Roy and those talks got deaded quickly.

The less teams in contention, the more likely teams will just penny pinch and hope the draft gives them what they need. That's why even for a shytty draft, nobody wanted to come up off picks.
